Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dice onion, green pepper, and radishes. Set aside.
  • If using optional ingredients dice and add them.
  • Adjust quantity of any ingredient to taste.
  • Cut bacon strips into 4 pieces and pan fry till crispy.
  • Reserve bacon grease.
  • Spoon dice vegetables onto a slice of Rye bread and spoon hot bacon grease over vegetables. Top with a crisped piece of bacon.
  • ENJOY!!

    I liked this! I changed it just a bit by slightly cooking the vegetables - onion, pepper, radishes - in the pan with the fat. I drained some of fat & used regular bacon - not extra fatty. Since it was hot, I cubed the dark rye bread & tossed. It improved overnight, but was still a quick & good dish that night, too. Thanks, LindaLMT!
