Special Edition: David Hellman & The Art of Braid

Another preview of the Indie Game: The Movie Special Edition...

We filmed with the creator of Braid, Jonathan Blow, as well as the artist, David Hellman. In the Special Edition, David gives us a more detailed look at the art of Braid. We take look at his process, from concept to completion, and get insight into the thought and themes in Braid.

If you want a vibe for the kind of stuff we'll be talking about.  Check out David's fascinating posts about the creative process behind Braid's Art.

You can Preorder the Special Edition via PayPal or our (soon-to-be-ending) Kickstarter.

Can't wait to watch the DVD! Awesome work!
Is there going to be Special Ed. Digital Download too?

    Hey Carlos,

Thanks! Glad you're liking it so far.

We do want to do a digital version of the Special Edition, however, we need to come up with a way to elegantly deliver/package it. We really want to stay away from (and very likely will not) going with a messy .zip full of video files.

If we can dome up with a good solution, we would love to offer the S.E. in digital form. It's something that we're going to work on and keep in mind going forward.

    Thanks

    -James

Well you can always provide a disc image? I'm not sure that is a "Great idea" due to copyrighting issues since most people would want to burn to disc at that point to keep a digital copy and a hard copy. Personally my wife preordered the SE and just want to see the amazing content in it's completion. Outstanding work and an inspiration to those of us just breakin into the dev world as well as your story with breaking into the film industry! Amazing all the way around! Cheers.

Hello, I read that there will be translations into Spanish, I want to buy the version with bonus material but do not know if all this material will also be translated in many movies this does not happen and that material is out translations.

Hola, he leido que habra traduccion a español, yo quiero comprar la version con material extra pero no se si todo ese material tambien va a ser traducido, en muchas peliculas esto no sucede y ese material se queda sin traduccion.
