Bach On The Pedal Harpsichord. Works by J.S.Bach (1685-1750) performed by E. Power Biggs (1906-1977). The instrument is a pedal harpsichord, which is a harpsichord fitted with an organ-type pedal board. This allows the instrument to achieve deeper sonority. Bach would have composed and practiced using one of these in his home. Recorded in 1966. Transfer from the original Columbia stereo LP MS-6204 by Bob Varney.
