Description

Pteruthius aenobarbus has a very small body size. The upper body is olive green. White eye circles, grayish white brow line, black iris and beak, gray legs. On the black upper wing cover there are two thick white stripes. The male bird has a chestnut brown coloration on the forehead, chin, and throat and a yellow underbody. While the female bird is only chestnut brown on the forehead and the lower body is whitish.
