Customizable Chore Charts

The Trip Clip lets you make a variety of chore charts for different purposes and for different ages. There are over 180 pictures to choose from or you can upload your own pictures. You can edit the text on any item, including using foreign languages. The chore charts you create can be printed or used on a phone or any mobile device.

You can purchase the chore chart activity here.

Daily Chores

The daily chore chart is simple and great for young kids. Many of their tasks may be self-care tasks like ‘get dressed’ or ‘brush your teeth’. You can print it and then use it with kid-sized clipboard, laminate it, or hang it on the fridge.

Weekly Chores

There are 2 formats for the weekly chart. The simpler one is like the daily chore chart, but your child can use it to track their progress for a full week. The second format lets you specify different chores for each day of the week. This can be especially helpful for an after school chart that changes based on the day of the week.

Family Chore Chart

The family chore chart uses a list format I call a ‘bubble list’. It’s very versatile. You can create a chore chart for the whole family – a great way to help your kids visualize that everyone has a responsibility to contribute to the family. You could also create a weekly chart where each bubble represents a different day of the week. Or you could make a daily chart with separate bubbles for morning, after school, and bedtime. Below are a couple of examples, or you can read a little more here about this new list format.

Magnetic & VELCRO Chore Charts

If your kids want to be able to see their progress through the list with moving parts, you can do that too. You can turn your chore charts into magnetic or velcro charts. There are instructions for how to do this here.

Mobile Chore Charts

The lists you create can also be used interactively on a phone or iPad.

There’s a video explaining how to do this here. This video shows how to make a grocery list, but the procedure is the same for a chore chart.
