This Spartan II is one of a reported 300 cars built by the Spartan Motorcar Company in San Marcos, California. Based on a 1985 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 chassis, the car is finished in white over red leather and powered by a 3.0-liter V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes power windows and door locks, removable roof panels, chrome bumpers, 15″ wire wheels, air conditioning, and an AM/FM stereo with a Cassette player and a graphic equalizer. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this Spartan II is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Dakota title.
The car is finished in white with tan accent stripes and features removable roof panels, chrome bumpers, dual power-adjustable mirrors, faux fender-mounted spares, running boards, etched opera windows, and a vertical chrome grille. The seller notes that the fog lights, horns, and rear running lights under the bumper are inoperative, and the front turn signals work intermittently. Chrome 15″ wire wheels are wrapped in 225/75 Vercelli Classic 787 tires, with stopping power handled by four-wheel disc brakes. The cabin is upholstered in red and features leather-trimmed front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench. Amenities include power windows, chrome sill guards with Spartan II branding, air conditioning, cruise control, a power-adjustable driver seat, a center console, and an AM/FM stereo with a Cassette player and a graphic equalizer. Wear is visible on the center console and the sill guards have scuff marks. The seller notes that service in preparation for sale included recharging the air-conditioning refrigerant and cleaning the blower motor.
The multifunction steering wheel frames a digital speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 43k miles.
The car is powered by a fuel-injected 3.0L Nissan V6 that was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 173 ft-lbs of torque. Service in preparation for the sale reportedly included changing the oil and replacing the battery, oil pressure switch, and two radiator hose clamps.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
Removable roof panels with hardware, sunblock attachments, storage bags, and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage reported and lists registration history in South Dakota.
The car is titled as a 1985 Nissan 300.
