Former Metallica guitarist Jason Newsted works to beautify Tequesta

TEQUESTA, Fla. (CBS12) — A new work of art is now on display in Tequesta.

The mural is the vision of Jason Newsted, who played bass guitar for Metallica for 15 years. It was unveiled at Evo Italian Restaurant, which celebrated its 11th anniversary.

Newsted said the artwork is three paintings in one with different discoveries at day and at night under a blacklight.

If the project at Evo goes well, Newsted says there may be more murals going up around Tequesta.

Mayor Abby Brennan also attended the unveiling.
