The Spotted Linsang lives in tropical forests. They are nocturnal and it is not know if they live in groups or not. They spend their time in trees where their nests are located or under tree roots. The species are able to see well at night due to their large, dark eyes. Their diet consists of birds, insects, and small mammals. Females give birth up to three young, but little is known about their reproductive behavior. Threats to the species are loss of habitat and hunting for its fur. The population estimate is less than two hundred left.
