Dr. Szentes is amazing! He takes time to thoroughly answer my questions and calms my concerns. While I have only had a couple interactions with him, I feel he is the best doctor I have ever met. He is so personable, kind, and knowledgeable.

I have said time and time again that Dr. Szentes has set a standard of care that no other doctor I have seen can even begin to reach. Although he is very busy and his job entails so many different aspects of care, he has never once made me feel rushed or unheard. I have been his patient for around 7 years I believe. We have done infertility medication, had miscarriages, two c-sections, maternal depression, post partum depression, one high risk pregnancy, I believe 4 other surgeries. Every single experience has been exceptional. At this point, I consider him a friend, as I’m sure many others do. He has celebrated with me, he has mourned with me, he has laughed with me, he has comforted me, he has cheered me on…I could go on and on. I actually moved an hour and a half away and I refuse to find another OB/GYN. I would rather make the trip to know I’m getting stellar care.

This was my first time/first pregnancy being under the care of Dr. Szentes, my previous pregnancies had been under the care of midwife Sherry Harmon. I had been incredibly happy with Midwife Sherry Harmon and I was not sure what to expect about Dr. Szentes’ style of practice. However, I had overheard just about everyone speak glowingly about his medical expertise and bedside manner. When I reached 32 weeks I hit some concerns about my pregnancy since I was technically high risk being “advanced maternal age” at age 36. I went into one appointment extremely nervous, not really sure how Dr. Szentes would approach some of my concerns and questions. I was afraid that he would see my questions as a mistrust of his expertise or challenging him which was the last thing I wanted. I was incredibly impressed with how he handled my concerns with compassion and understanding. He thoroughly explained the science, statistics, guidelines behind some of my concerns and then also explained how he could tailor everything to my unique circumstances. I felt heard and worked with. I never felt shamed or belittled for asking questions. He handled everything with wisdom and grace, stating clearly where he felt most comfortable following protocol and where he felt we could makes compromises. This allowed me to make very informed decisions about prenatal care for the duration of the pregnancy. It also brought awareness of problems or interventions that might become necessary so that I could adjust expectations if they came up in the future.

Dr. Szentes is literally a God. I love him. He is amazing and so is his team.
