UC Baseball Stadium has been the home of the Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team since the end of the 2004 season.

The first game played at the 3,085-seat, on-campus facility occurred on May, 20 2004 when the Bearcats hosted UAB in the final series of 2004. The opening game was played on a Thursday night, before a crowd of 2,200.

Since its opening, the stadium has seen a UC great recognized within the facility. In May 2005, coaching legend Glenn Sample was honored with the walkway outside the field being named Glenn Sample Way.

The stadium, which was voted the favorite road stadium in the BIG EAST Conference to visit, is located directly east of the spot where Johnny Bench Field, the Bearcats' previous home, sat for a number of years.

UC ballplayers enjoy a spacious home clubhouse and lounge located behind the left-field line. The Fred Braun Lounge, named after the long-time Bearcats baseball supporter, provides space for the UC staff to meet with players and recruits in an intimate setting. The lounge features couches and chairs for players to relax before and after games and practices. The Bearcats are served pre- and postgame meals in the clubhouse, which also houses a coaches' locker, a training room, equipment room, restrooms and shower facilities.

Another luxury the UC baseball team enjoys is a climate-controlled indoor batting cage adjacent to the clubhouse. The hitting facility, which the Bearcats players have access to 24 hours a day, features two state-of-the-art home plate programmable pitching machines.

There is also a full-functioning visiting team clubhouse located down the right-field line.

Prior to the 2013 season, a RightView Pro four-camera stadium kit was installed for video coaching and the dugouts were outfitted with safety fencing.

Following the 2014 season, the stadium underwent a full field renovation with local builder The Motz Group. A state-of-the-art TriplePlay HP turf surface was installed over the entire field, including warning track, batter's box and pitching mound.

Acting on a recommendation by President Neville G. Pinto, the UC Board of Trustees unanimously voted on June 23, 2020 to remove the name of the late Cincinnati Reds owner and philanthropist Marge Schott from the university’s baseball stadium and a second space. The stadium held the name of Marge Schott Stadium from 2006-2020. Read UC's complete release HERE.
