Large krasivotsvetushchy bush height and up to 2 meters wide. Grows quickly – to 30 cm a year. Leaves are bright green, in the fall long remain on a bush. Blossoms in June-July. Flowers up to 4 cm long ruby-red at the edges, orange inside, are collected in inflorescences on 3-4 pieces. Well looks in group landings on 5-7 copies. A winter hardiness zone – 5.

For example, the veygela becomes decoration of a rock garden where picturesquely looks in an environment of other blossoming perennials. But the plant in the Japanese gardens to which numerous flowers in the form of tubular hand bells give unique color of the East is especially good. At the same time the strongest impression is made by those kinds of a veygela at which blossoming begins on almost naked branches, before completion of formation of leaves.

It should be noted that this gentle plant is afraid of frosts, so, requires attention, especially in the first years of life. On the other hand, the winter-hardy types of a veygela extended in Russia are restored even after severe winter cold weather, and are pleasing to the eye in the gentle and bright flowers in the summer. Under our conditions this ornamental shrub reaches one and a half meters and perfectly feels on fertile, friable, moderately damp soil.
