“How Great Thou Art” was the main hymn I sang the day after I became a Christian, as a young boy. It was a wonderful day, as I walked in the grass by the oaks and evergreens at my (then) rural home-place in a (then) dairy-farm-dominated part of Maryland, where blackberries and wild strawberries and honeysuckle grew in nearby woods and brush. And today, a half-century later, my heart still sings “How Great Thou Art” — to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Creator and Redeemer.
