Who We Are
As our name suggests, we are Lure Enthusiasts of Georgia Sighthounds (LEGS Coursing Club) who have come together to provide an ASFA Club offering lure coursing in Region 7 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee). The list of sighthound breeds who are eligible to course under ASFA rules and regulations can be found here —>Eligible Breeds.
It’s been many years since our region has welcomed a new Club who will excel at providing lure coursing trials in and around the Atlanta, North Georgia, and Alabama areas.
We are seeking to apply to ASFA for accelerated affiliate status, holding our first fun trial in April of 2024. We’re shooting for the 13th.
We are currently scouting for fields within the Atlanta, North Georgia, and central and North Alabama areas. If you know of available acreage, please notify us. It is our goal to offer a variety of course layouts as well as course fields for our hounds.

Lure Coursing
Our initial goal is to become an Affiliate Club with ASFA (American Sighthound Field Association) offering lure coursing under their rules and regulations. We will also seek approval by the AKC (American Kennel Club) which will allow us to offer trials under their rules and regulations as well.
Straight Racing
In the plans is also to reintroduce LGRA (Large Gazehound Racing Association) and FAST Cat to Region 7 and the Atlanta area.
Oval Racing
NOTRA (National Oval Track Racing Association) is on our radar as well! Yes, we have many plans!!
Join our coursing club!
Now is the time to get a new ASFA Club off the ground in Region 7. We will eventually hold AKC trials, as well as LGRA and NOTRA. Our future is bright! There are several different memberships to choose from!

Donate
As a new Club, we could definiitely use all the dollars we can get. We have equipment to purchase, insurance to secure, etc. The list is endless. All donations will be welcome – big or small. Your support is needed!
