K1 Speed

I had never ever been to a K-1 Speed before. It was my friend's birthday and she had a party there. We went to the K-1 located in Burbank.
The place was easy to find , kind if in an industrial area. The parking was not ample and the spots were very tight, but it was no biggie .
There was alot of street parking but I didn't read the signs so I am not street if it was okay to park out front.
When we walked in we were immediately greeted by staff. They had us come over to the counter and they checked us all in.
We had already filled our waivers out online to the check in process was pretty quick.
They were extremely thorough when going over the rules of how the cars worked and what behavior was expected from everyone.
They put us in groups and we were in our way.

At first I was afraid to go fast for fear of topping over but once I got the hang of it , I was on my way and I never looked back

They have a pretty cool arcade with alot of old school games
It's a bit pricey but hey you only live once

I had a blast and I hope to go back soon with a bunch of friends

Reserved for a party of 13 people. It started off slow, which was fine as we were reserved for 9pm and had showed up at 8:15pm. However staff was typically missing or not super helpful behind the counter when registering/checking in.

We go karted from 9pm to about 10pm/10:15pm. It was expected that our private event space AND we were told that our event space will be ready at 10:30pm. Not only was the space NOT ready by 10:30pm, the food wasn't even ready. After asking numerous times about the ETA of the food that I paid for, keep in mind we were continuously told it was coming out in 2-3 minutes, it finally came out at 10:50pm.

Staff was not helpful at all. They did provide plates, but were so unhelpful with everything else. Did not help set up the cakes I brought for my birthday, did not provide even a knife to cut the cake, nor did they provide utensils or cups. Thank goodness I happened to bring my own plates, cups, and utensils just in case.

ON TOP OF THAT, as the K1 speed staff was so late with the food, we were then approached by one of the staff trying to push our party out as we were eating and this is what the staff said and I quote "I hate to be that guy, but your party is going to have to leave soon." Our party would've been OUT of the building if we had received our food at 10:30pm as we had reservations for karaoke afterwards which we were late to due to K1 "speed's" SLOW SERVICE AND STAFF.

First and last time booking a party for K1 speed. Fun activity, terrible service. Don't even get me started on how they gave me two bills and tried to get an astronomical tip on both bills when service was inadequate and undeserving.

I only ended up here after a bad experience. I now see why this place has such low ratings! WHOA!

No one wants to work here. We arrived during opening hours and discovered that the place had experienced a power outage. It seemed like all the power had been restored and the place was lit up.

The workers kept turning away paying customers, saying it will be a while, even though it seemed like everything should have been up and running within minutes.

We even compromised and asked if we can utilize the arcade room. And we were denied. All the games were on and working.

So we walked away, thinking to ourselves, "HEY MAYBE there's something we DON'T KNOW. OH WELL, WE WILL BE BACK."

As we made our way to our car, an employee showed up and told us the power has been back on it only takes a couple minutes for everything to start working, it's QUICK.

WELP! The other folks working inside said otherwise. Someone should definitely know what they're doing in this place. Apparently no one did.

This place is horrible! I come in on Sunday, February 18, 2024 for my partner's birthday. I bought a race and my partner had a birthday race. We initially missed our first race and had to sign up again.

We spoke to Clarissa who stated she had marked us down for the next race in 30 mins, we waited about 40 minutes until my partner went to go ask how much longer. To our surprise, she had never marked us down! Very frustrating and waste of our time! As a team member/supervisor/ team lead she is incompetent. Staff wasn't able to help me resolve the issue and I had to ask for a refund! Doubt I'll be back anytime soon! Horrible experience!

10 year old birthday party at K1 was a huge hit. Staff did a great job making everyone feel welcome and getting our food out on time. They assisted with every request. The rest of the team on the track were great about explaining how the go carts worked. This was the first time most of the kids ever operated any kind of car like this, and they had an absolute blast. We topped off the driving experience with some arcade games, and it turned out to be a perfect afternoon. My daughter was thrilled.

I was invited for someone's birthday party, and I had a blast! We arrived, signed waivers, were given masks, and hung around watching other races until it was our turn.

We did 3 races. It was so much FUN! I had no idea they'd go that fast ( I actually thought we were doing bumper cars LOL, not actual go karts!) With each race, we received analytics on who was fastest, but not just for the whole race, but also who had the fastest lap that round. It was pretty cool!

At the end, our top 3 racers were given trophies and got to stand on a podium for pictures. This was cute. I am already ready to go back.

Totally recommend for anyone looking for some active fun at a good price!

We had a BAD experience and returned on my daughter's actual birth day at 10am on a Saturday morning as instructed by an employee the week prior. When we arrived, the GM (Joseph) informed us that there were no jr races until later in the afternoon. I explained the situation and he apologized emphatically and accommodated us for the next available jr race. He kept walking over to check on us and update us while we waited to be called to the pit. I understand that weekends can be extremely busy and appreciate Jospeh's help in accommodating us and helping make my daughter's day a special one!

Wait time to long and this place is not worth the wait would not recommend because of how time wasting it is

"I had my birthday celebration at this go karting place, and it was a disaster. The staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly, including manager. No one ever came to ask how was everything going, no host, staff was very lazy, like they were doing favor, I had to run all over the place with constant questions. At the end they overcharged me. Save your money and go elsewhere for a fun birthday experience."

I am writing a 5 star review based off of the kindness and courtesy I was provided by Joseph and some of the staff.

I did not have the privilege of booking my event at their location due to schedule changes, however, I am EVER SO GRATEFUL for the very easy communication/booking/rescheduling/possibly canceling due to my schedule changes and Joseph and Fernando were absolutely more than accommodating.

I do indeed look very forward to working with them in the future if all goes according to plan!
