Clémence Poésy was born on October 30, 1982 in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, Val-de-Marne, France. Ella clemence she attended La Source alternative school in Meudon and then studied theater at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts (CNSAD).

Clemence was born to an actor and screenwriter Étienne Guichard and a French teacher. She has a younger sister named Maëlle Poésy-Guichard, who is also an actress.

Clémence Poésy has been in a relationship with French photographer and actor Emeric Glayse since 2010. In 2017, she gave birth to her first child, Liam.

Clemence Poesy made her debut in the 2002 German drama “Olgas Sommer” as Olga. Clemence made her television debut on the television series “An Angry Man” as Helen in 1999.

Clemence Poesy has gained worldwide fame for her role as Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter film series, which includes “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 1 and Part 2 “. She received the San Diego Film Critics Society Award for Best Performance on a Set for her performance in the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2”.

In 2014, she became the poster girl for Chloé’s Love Story perfume. She got her first acting job at the age of 14 when her father played her in a minor role in her movie.

Clemence took her stage name Poesy from her mother’s maiden name. Her first English role for hers was Mary, Queen of Scots, in the 2004 BBC miniseries “Gunpowder, Treason & Plot”, for which she won the 2005 FIPA Award for Best Actress.
