The Hongya Cave, formerly known as Hongya Gate, is one of the ancient city gates in southwest China's Chongqing. Built on hills along the Yangtze River, the traditional local residential building is called Diaojiaolou, literally meaning stilt house and is a huge tourist attraction. At night, the multi-level buildings light up and offer a great view over the river, making it look like a scene from a science fiction movie.
