In this post, we are not going to focus on adult activities (drinking, spa, casino, etc.) We will be focusing on the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas for families. This will include Oasis of the Seas activities and Oasis of the Seas shows.

Best Things to Do on Oasis of the Seas
There are so many things to do on Oasis of the Seas on board. This list will include my favorite things we did. I have 4 kids ranging in ages 7 to 15. We love to do the family activities on Oasis of the Seas Royal Carribean ship.
My Favorite Things to Do on Oasis of the Seas
- The Abyss

- Ice Cream
- Track
- All of the Oasis of the Seas entertainment
Some of the Oasis of the Seas activities cost an additional amount but most of the things I am going to mention are free things to do on Oasis of the Seas. I will let you know if there is an additional cost associated with any of the Oasis of the Seas attractions I mention.
Let's start with the Oasis of the Seas things to do onboard with your family.

1. The Ultimate Abyss
The Abyss is one of my favorite things to do on Oasis of the Seas cruise ship! It is the tallest slide at sea. You will begin on deck 16 and slide down to deck 6. That is 10 stories! There are twists, turns, and fun light-up sections throughout the ride. The slide ends on the Oasis of the Seas Boardwalk.
What are the Requirements for the Abyss on Oasis of the Seas?
You must be 44 inches to ride and no more than 330 pounds.
Is the Ultimate Abyss Free?
Yes, It is included in your cruise price.
Is the Abyss a Water Slide?
No, it is not a water slide. It is a regular slide. You will jump on a mat that you put your legs in and velcro yourself in before you slide down.
My Thoughts
I loved this slide! It was awesome. I could have ridden it over and over again. It is one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas for families!
2. The Pools on Oasis of the Seas
If you love to swim, you are in luck! There are four pools on the Oasis of the Seas ship. The main Oasis of the Seas pool and the beach pool are located on decks 15 and 16. These pools are not heated. The beach pool uses salt water and the main pool does not.
There are also hot tubs all around the pool area.
My Thoughts
My kids love playing in the pool area. It sometimes gets a little crowded because it is one of the most popular things to do on Oasis of the Seas! I enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub!
3. Splashway Bay
Splashaway Bay is one of the largest kids' play areas on any ship. If you have little kids it is a fun area to get wet and have fun.
My Thoughts
There were so many little kids having fun on our cruise. There are lots of chairs nearby so you can watch your kids and somewhat relax! It is one of the best Oasis of the Seas activities for little kids under 7.
4. Perfect Storm Water Slides
Does Oasis of the Seas have water slides? YES!
The Oasis of the Seas water slides are called The Perfect Storm. It is a set of three slides.
- Typhoon
- Cyclone
- Supercell
What are the Height Requirements for the Perfect Storm?
You must be 48 inches and no more than 300 pounds to ride the Oasis of the Seas water slides.

5. Flow Rider
You may have seen a FlowRider before? Oasis of the Seas has two! They are very popular so be prepared to wait in line.
Do You Have to Pay for the FlowRider on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas?
The FlowRider is one of the free things to do on the Oasis of the Seas. You can ride as many times as you would like!
If you are a little nervous you can purchase a lesson for around $70. These will be shared group lessons. You will see the lessons in the app.
Is There a Height Requirement for the FlowRider on Oasis of the Seas?
Yes, You must be 52″ to boogie board or 58″ to stand up.
My Thoughts
I thought the FlowRider was fun! I am the kind of person that just wants to try everything at least once. I thought it was fun and I am glad I got to experience it. But I kind of like watching everyone else better! It is really fun watching other people try! There are some epic wipeouts!
6. Relax at the Solarium
If your kids are in the clubs, head over to the adult-only area. This area has a private pool at the front of the ship. The views are absolutely amazing! Even if you can't stay long make your way to the Solarium at least once during your cruise!

You can relax and enjoy the hot tubs and enjoy some peace and quiet while your kids are having fun. There are some great Oasis of the Seas amenities in this area!
7. Oasis of the Seas Zipline
One of the Oasis of the Seas activities that is pretty unique is the zipline. There are not many cruise ships with ziplines.
The Oasis of the Seas zipline takes you on an 82 ft ride over the Boardwalk area of the ship. It is included in your cruise passage and you can ride as many times as you would like.
What are the Oasis of the Seas Zipline Weight Limit and Height Requirements?
You must be at least 52″ and weigh at least 75 pounds but not over 275.
8. Oasis of the Seas Mini-Golf
Mini golf is one of the Oasis of the Seas activities that my kids absolutely loved! We played a few rounds!
The mini-golf course is located on Deck 15. Everything is provided and is included in your cruise fare.
My Thoughts
We had a lot of fun hanging out and enjoying this Oasis of the Seas attraction.
9. Oasis of the Seas Rock Climbing Wall
The Oasis of the Seas rock climbing wall is pretty cool! It is the perfect Oasis of the Seas onboard activity. It is located right next to the diving theater. It extends 200ft above the sea and 40 ft above the deck!
There are beginner climbing areas as well as more technical and advanced areas. One of the best Oasis of the Seas activities on board.
Are There any Requirements for the Oasis of the Seas Rock Climbing Wall?
Yes. There is an age requirement of 6 years old to participate.
10. Unlimited Ice Cream
One of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas is hit the unlimited ice cream machine! Yes!! This exists!
Is There Free Ice Cream On Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas?
Yes, This was hands down my kid's favorite Oasis of the Seas activity. It is located near the pool area on the opposite side – deck 15. There is a basic frozen yogurt machine that an employee operates during certain hours of the day.
Unlimited ice cream is one of the best things to do on the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship!
11. Carousel
The Oasis of the Seas Carousel has a beautiful handcrafted design. There are animals such as zebras and horses that are hand-painted.
Boardwalk
The carousel is located in the Boardwalk area near the arcade. This is one of the best Oasis of the Seas activities for little cruisers. It is included in our cruise fare, so you can ride as many times as you would like.
12. Arcade
If you are cruising with teens or tweens the Oasis of the Seas arcade may be a hit. Located near the carousel in the Boardwalk area, it is a fun area to explore.
Additional Cost
This is one of the Oasis of the Seas activities that DOES cost an additional amount. You will have your kids take their Royal Caribbean cards they receive when boarding and add credits for the games.
There are lots of fun games like air hockey and all of your classic games like ski ball. My kids love arcades!
13. Laser Tag
The Oasis of the Seas laser tag is extremely themed! This Oasis of the Seas attraction does require a reservation. It is located on Deck 4.
I want to say when we were on the cruise this activity was an additional cost but when researching almost everything out there looks like it is included in the cruise fare. I would double-check.
Make a Reservation
This laser tag experience will take you on a glow-in-the-dark battle for Crystal City. It looks awesome. We wanted to do it on our last cruise but there weren't many reservations available.
14. Running Track
I love to run! Running on a cruise ship is awesome. I feel like there is so much food on cruises running is essential for me not to gain 10 pounds in a week!
The Oasis of the Seas running track is .43 miles around. This is the longest-running track at sea! 2.4 laps will equal a mile. The track is located on deck 5.
Great Exercise!
Even if running is not your thing walking around the ship is pretty awesome. You can check out the lifeboats and get a different perspective of the ship. It is one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas to stay in shape.
15. - 16. Athletic Court and Fitness Center
The sports court is located on Deck 15. There are lots of fun games and activities going on in this area.

This is a great area to get moving! The sports court is on most Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
Fitness Center
The fitness center is very nice on Oasis of the Seas. It is located on deck 6. There is lots of equipment that you can use. Some of the fitness classes in this area do cost an additional amount.
17. Spotlight Karaoke
Who doesn't love Karaoke?! Okay, I can not sing and my musical ability is lacking but I enjoy a good karaoke session!
Sing Session
My boys loved going up and singing. We wanted a private room but it does cost an additional amount. The Spotlight Karaoke is located on deck 5. Start thinking now about which songs you would like to sing!
18. Oasis of the Seas Escape Room - Mission Control Apollo 18
The escape room is one of the Oasis of Seas activities the DOES cost an additional amount. You can book this activity on your app as your onboard for about $20.
Escape Room
The escape room is set in the year 1973. You will have to complete lots of puzzles and tasks as a mission for launching Apollo 18. The escape room is very detailed. You will feel like you jumped back in time and are actually in Houston Texas.
19. Shopping on the Oasis of the Seas
How does shopping on Oasis of the Seas sound? This is one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas. There are some fun shops to check out. There are 13 shopping venues and open-air stores.
In fact, don't be surprised if they give you free products. When we went to explore and shop. We bought something and were given a few eye shadow pallets.
We liked looking around at all the shops on Oasis of the Seas.
20. Play Trivia Games
If you are looking for Oasis of the Seas activities that are sure to please most people in your group look for the trivia games located at different areas on the ship.
My Thoughts
We did a '90s and a Harry Potter trivia game. It was awesome! My kids really like the Harry Potter challenge. There are usually lots of music trivia games.
21. Eat on Oasis of the Seas
Eating is probably one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas! Seriously, there is food everywhere you turn. You want pizza, you got it! Want a full buffet, no problem. How about a sit-down restaurant, perfect right this way!

There are many areas that are included in your cruise fare. We enjoyed a lot of them. You can also book a specialty restaurant that cost a little more! There are lots and lots of food options on cruises!
22. Ice Skating
One of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas is ice skating! There are certain times when the rink will be available for free skate. This is included in your cruise fare and skates are provided.

23. Oasis of the Seas Social 298 (Teen Club)
Social 298 is the “teen club” It basically has pool tables, games, and foosball. There are chill-out areas where you can listen to music or watch shows.

24. Oasis of the Seas Kids Club (Adventure Ocean)
Adventure Ocean is included in your cruise fare. You can drop your kids off for a fun time. The kids are divided by age and put into groups.

This kids club is awesome! There is an arcade, movie theater, science experiments, and game area. It is really cool!
My Thoughts
My kids are so shy they were scared to death to go in…..hopefully next time they will.

25. Dive in Movie Night
If you are a night owl, one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas is to head out to the pool area for a dive-in movie.
Movie Time
The screen is above the pool area. You can either swim, a hot tub, or relax on the beach chairs as you watch a movie. Dive-in movie nights are usually on longer cruises.
This is a fun activity to do on Oasis of the Seas at night!

26. Oasis of the Seas Ice Skating Show (Frozen in Time)
RCCL Oasis of the Seas currently has an amazing ice skating show called Frozen in Time. It is based on the characters from Hans Christian Anderson.

There are a few times during your cruise, that the show will run. You can choose a time that will be good for you. The show is in Studio B. There are seats that surround the ice skating rink.
This is one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas!
27. Oasis of Dreams Aqua Show
One of the best Oasis of the Seas attractions is the dive theater located at the back of the ship. This stage is incredible!
There is a pool where divers can do all sorts of flips. The aqua show not only highlights divers but has acrobatics, synchronized swimmers, and dancers.
Arrive Early
There is plenty of seating, but you might want to arrive early to make sure you get a spot. There are usually two shows back to back.
When we say the Oasis of the Seas entertainment is phenomenal, this show is what we mean!
Comedy Dive Show
If you are on a longer cruise you may have more Oasis of the Seas shows at the dive theater. There is a comedy dive show that is silly and fun.
28. Broadway Shows (CATS)
The Oasis has a huge auditorium where a Broadway play is usually performed. Right now the show is Cats.
See a Play
When we went some of the cast members were sick and all the shows the entire time we were on the ship were canceled! This made us sad because we love Broadway.
These shows are usually performed multiple days and multiple times per day. The Broadway shows are some of the best Oasis of the Seas entertainment options.
29. Comedy Shows
The comedy show is one of the most popular Oasis of the Seas shows. It will book up. You can make reservations on your app 3 months prior to your cruise!
Adult Only Oasis of the Seas Show
It is located on Deck 4 and is included in your Cruise fare. This is an adult-only Oasis of the Seas show. I didn't get a chance to check it out, so I am not sure what the content was all about!
A lot of people love the comedy show, and include it as one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas.
30. Live Music
There are a lot of live music venues all over the Oasis of the Seas. The Music Hall is the most popular place to go if you want to enjoy a live band. There are no bad seats in the Music Hall.
If you love hanging out and listening to some good music make sure to head to the Music Hall. Another place you might find live music is on the elevator…yea….seriously! Musicians will claim the elevator as their stage!
If you love music, this is one of the best things to do on Oasis of the Seas.
31. Magic Show or Headliner Show
One of the best Oasis of the Seas shows we went to was the headliner show. It was the magic show. This magician was awesome! He did some really cool tricks.

The oasis class ships like Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas are very similar to Oasis of the Seas as well.
