Description

Wintercreeper 'Emerald Gaiety' is a robust low growing, wide spreading shrub with small foliage that does well in most conditions. The rounded, slightly serrated leaves are a deep emerald green with a clean white margin. In cooler climates the foliage will take on a reddish-pink hue. Slow growing and bushy, Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald Gaiety' will grow to 5 feet at maturity and 6 feet wide but can be pruned to maintain desired size or shape. Use as a formal hedge or informal border. Can be sheared into topiary forms. Useful as a privacy screen or specimen plant.

Plant care

Requires soil with good drainage. Water regularly after planting until roots are established then reduce frequency. Fertilize in early spring. Prune as needed to maintain desired shape. Prefers full sun to partial shade, with the variegation becoming more pronounced in the shade.
