From El Nacimiento, you climb a steep staircase to reach the cenotes, a natural wonder.

The best time of the year to visit the cenotes is summer when you can enjoy crystal-clear waters.

These four pools have underground currents of sulfurous hydrothermal waters.

El Zacatón

It is an open cenote with a diameter of 140 meters and a depth of 328 meters, one of the deepest in the world and the deepest in Mexico. NASA scientists used this cenote as a practice center for a robot they hope to use to explore Europa, one of Jupiter's moons.

La Poza Verde

It has a dark blue color and is surrounded by abundant vegetation. It has a diameter of about 150 meters and a depth of approximately 45 meters. Its walls are covered with lush vegetation, so when you see its green waters, it will seem like you're discovering an exotic place with tropical vegetation. Here you can enjoy the thrill of a zipline.

La Pilita

It is located in a gentle depression in the terrain and has a diameter of 30 meters, with the water almost at ground level. It is considered one of the deepest freshwater estuaries in the world.

La Sulfurosa

It measures 12 meters in diameter and has a conical shape. Its sulfurous origin is very evident here, as the water is turquoise blue and has a milky appearance. The water is hot, and there is a constant bubbling on the surface. In this unique natural pool, you can enjoy the healing properties of its waters.
