Comments: Habit: A compact alpine shrub to 1.5m.
Foliage: Oblong-elliptic, oval or oblong-lanceolate leaves, 0.8-6cm long x 0.4-2 cm broad. The upper surface is dark or pale green and densely scaly. The underside has a dense covering of large bicoloured dark brown and yellow scales.
Flowers: Small, tight trusses of 3-10 widely funnel-shaped flowers that can range in colour from a deep purple-blue to indigo violet.
