A slow-growing, deciduous shrub or small tree, this pretty and petite Magnolia is perfect for small gardens or as a specimen plant. Ann Magnolia features chalice-shaped flowers that appear in early to mid-spring in shades of bright pink, with the inside of each cup a pale pink or clear white. Ann blooms later than other magnolias, so the likelihood of the flower buds being decimated by spring frosts is very low. Blooms reach up to 4 inches across, with six to eight petals each. Ovate, medium-green leaves transition to golden yellow in fall. Unlike many other magnolia varieties, which can take up to ten years to bloom, Ann flowers from an early age. This magnolia is an excellent focal point in any urban garden, along a sidewalk, or in a cottage setting. Magnolia 'Ann'
