Lauren German To Co-Star In ‘Lucifer’

Chicago Fire alumna Lauren German is set as the female lead opposite Tom Ellis in Fox’s comic book drama pilot Lucifer, written by Tom Kapinos and directed by Len Wiseman for Warner Bros. TV and Jerry Bruckheimer TV.

Based on the characters from the DC Entertainment’s Vertigo, the TV series centers on Lucifer (Ellis) who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. German plays Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. As they work together to solve a murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Used to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer begins to wonder if there’s hope yet. Kapinos, Wiseman, Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman executive produce; KristieAnne Reed co-executive produces. German is repped by German, repped by UTA, Anonymous Content and attorney Jeff Frankel.
