This ornamental tree is known as Betula utilis var. jacquemontii. Commonly known as Himalayan Birch, a name suitable for its origins, the West Himalayan mountain range located in Asia. Prized for its bright white bark, this tree also features dark green leaves with serrated edges that turn yellow offering further interest during the fall and winter seasons. With an upright growth habit and pyramidal form, this tree reaches an average mature landscape size of 50-60′ tall by 30′ wide.

Care And Planting Instructions
Plant Himalayan Birch tree in an area that receives full sun to part shade. While it tolerates part shade, it grows best in full sun. Plant using a well draining soil and water regularly after planting to help it quickly establish. This variety requires moist soil and extra attention should be given during periods of extreme heat. While not required, if desired, prune back growth or for shape during its dormant season. When pruned during the winter or spring months, sap bleeding can occur.
