Original hand-colored engraving from Hortus Berolinensis Sive Icones et Descriptiones, published in Berlin, circa 1803-1816. [Great Flower Books, p.151; Nissen, BBI 2157]. Friedrich Guimpel (1774-1839) was an eminent German botanical illustrator and professor at the Berlin Academy of Arts. Image/sheet size is 10 inches by 8 1/4 inches. This botanical print is in good+ condition: the image is bright and attractive, but there are some smudges, especially in the margins. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Seller Inventory # W2600
