octavo ca. 5.5" x 9" quarterbound in green morocco with marbled paper covered boards, lmoderate wear and light soiling of covers, library number at bottom of backstrip, content generally very good, but it is x-library copy with ink stamps on title page, numbers on back of title page, another stamp at top of one text page and page toward back of book, remnant of paper slip on back endpaper, ink name finely written on title page in small script pages age toned a bit, but pages generally good to very good, contents pp. 309 plus errata slip near back Overall, very good copy but x- library and a scarce item. Howes B418. Text in French. Has biographies of many famous native American chiefs and some of the Mythologie about the history of the continent.
