Identification

Dark brown above and below, white throat with feathers outlined in black giving the scaly appearance, tawny chest.

Distribution

Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
