Megan Thee Stallion, whose culture-rattling single “WAP” (with Cardi B) may well be the song of 2020, didn’t just visit Colorado to play Visible’s free streaming concert earlier this month.

The 25-year-old rapper also used the opportunity to shoot photos for her Time Magazine cover as one of 2020’s most influential people.

While the main image depicts her in high fashion against a white backdrop, scrub brush can be seen peeking out from the bottom of the photo. Furthermore, a video that accompanies the story at time.com shows Megan against the familiar backdrop that has hosted thousands of outdoor concerts over the years.

The cover, with an accompanying blurb by Taraji P. Henson, casts Megan Thee Stallion as a “pop-culture phenom,” which the artist marked with an Instagram post this week.

“STILL I RISE,” she wrote. ” YOUNG BLACK WOMAN FROM HOUSTON TEXAS ON THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE AS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.”
