Lucifer season six is set to feature some "heartbreaking" Deckerstar moments, Lauren German has revealed. As if we weren't feeling emotional enough about the show's end.

Lucifer's sixth and final season is set to premiere on Netflix tomorrow (September 10), and over recent weeks, the cast and crew have been offering fans hints of what's to come as Tom Ellis' Lucifer Morningstar takes on his new role as, erm, God.

Opening up about Lucifer and Chloe Decker's dynamic in the new episodes, Lauren German told Entertainment Weekly that the couple are ready to make sacrifices, no matter how "heartbreaking" they may be.

"Even when Lucifer is feeling insecure, Chloe is saying, 'I believe in you. I know you can do this,'" Lauren began, before hinting at "some very beautiful selfless acts".

"There's some very beautiful selfless acts in the last season on both of their parts where it's heartbreaking, but [they say], 'For you, I will do this. For your greater good, for your happiness. For you, I will sacrifice A, B, and C,'" she added.

As heartbreaking as these mysterious acts are, Lauren also assured Lucifer fans that Deckerstar are more of a "team" than ever in the show's final season.

"I would say it's the most kind of as a team that you've seen them, on the same page, ready for the same thing," the actress continued. "It's just, how did they get there? How can they get that going?"

A happy ending isn't necessarily guaranteed, however, with Lauren warning that there could be "hurt" on the horizon. "They are on the same page, for the same greater good, and for the same goal," she said. "Even if it hurts one or the other."

First we were promised tears, then a "bittersweet" ending, and now this? We're not sure we're ready.

Lucifer seasons 4 and 5 are available to watch now on Netflix, and season 6 will premiere on September 10. Catch up on seasons 1-4 via Amazon Prime Video.
