Juniperus procumbens 'Nana' is a sculptural low growing blue-green evergreen that usually gets around 6" tall, but spreads to an impressive 4-5', making this a wonderful species for bonsai, zen gardens or areas where you would like a sprawling groundcover.

Good drainage is essential for this plant to thrive. It needs low amounts of supplemental water once established. Irrigate by watering deeply and then allowing the top several inches of soil to dry between waterings. This encourages the plant to send roots deep into the earth in search of moisture, helping it to become established, prevent root rot, build drought tolerance, and resilience to heat and cold. The length of time between waterings will vary depending on your growing conditions and environment.

Our plants are shipped with considerable personal time, cost, and careful attention so that they will arrive at their destination in good health, intact, and ready to adapt to a new environment. The pot or rootball will be specially packed to prevent loss of moisture during the shipping process, but will still need to be unwrapped, and watered-in directly upon arrival to prevent further stress. Use caution when unpacking plants with sharp spines or thorns. Keep in a shady location protected from the sun and wind if not immediately transplanting.

Plants can experience some stress during shipping and may experience a few damaged or yellow leaves. However, if the plant has sustained significant damage, please report the damage within seven days of delivery, including photographs of the damaged plant, and we will contact you as soon as possible. We will not accept responsibility for damaged plants once they have been transplanted.
