If you've bought your PC from a retailer, chances are it looks quite bland compared to what you're about to see. You average PC enthusiast probable knows how to build a gaming PC, but a small yet growing selection of them actually customise their machines on epic scales. Some cut, chop and paint existing PC cases, while others create completely custom cases of all shapes and sizes.
The end results are spectacular, ranging from objects that would fit in nicely on a Star Wars or Star Trek film set, to incredible feats of metal work or fantastic acrylic creations. There are PC desks, wall-mounted PCs and many are cooled using custom water-cooling systems too for some added eye candy. Some of the more extreme examples cost $10,000 or more to make and are showcased around the world, but it's not always about the latest hardware.
