Today marks the end of a supermodel era—Gisele Bundchen is officially done with runway modeling after she walks for Colcci during Fashion Week in her native Brazil.
Confirming her retirement from the runway via Instagram this morning after a legendary two-decades-long career, the 34-year-old posted this photo revisiting what she looked like when she first began modeling at age 14.

Here's Gisele walking the runway more recently, at Chanel's show in Paris in September.
Over the weekend, she explained her decision to retire to a Brazilian newspaper, saying that "my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop." She added: "Stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself. It's not retirement, [I] will keep working, just not on the catwalk."
[Update: According The New York Times, Gisele's agent, Anne Nelson at IMG, says the supermodel may still consider runway shows in the future. "...It would have to come within an interesting angle, a unique opportunity," said Nelson. "Will she do it? I can't guarantee that. But that people will call for her, yes."]
