The newest Olgiati – A house for the musician Linard Bardill in Scharans near Thusis in the Domleschg valley in Graubünden. The book contents sixteen colour photographs made by the architect, all plans in a scale of 1:200 and no text. Limited edition.
If you approach this book knowing that it’s a book of images and drawings, without ANY text, it’s not a bad source of information regarding this building; however, I’m not familiar with Olgiati’s other publications, so I don’t know what information might have been published elsewhere regarding this building.
There are sixteen beautifully printed color photographs of the building’s exterior and interior taken at different times of day by Olgiati. Drawings include a plan of the community, roof plan, plans for both levels, a section, and all four major exterior elevations. Because the book is small, all of this information is presented in a small format; however, the print quality is so high that if one needed to, I suspect one could upscale it all to a limited extent.
I strongly recommend watching the excellent, short documentary about the studio posted at http://tinyurl.com/m53hjyv before deciding whether or not you want to seek out this book.
Brilliant book, contains all the major elevations, floor plan snd sections at 1:200. Still not sure what scale the site plan is but none the less this book is a must if your seeking the dimensions and plans for this building
