Courteney Cox shared a sweet red-carpet moment with her daughter Coco at the New York premiere of her upcoming film Scream VI last night.

The mother and daughter duo – who joined other famous faces such as Jenna Orgeta and Melissa Barrera to celebrate the horror film's release – attended the event hand-in-hand and dressed up for the occasion in two chic ensembles.

Cox relied on the wardrobe classic LBD, which she styled with a timeless black tuxedo blazer, semi-sheer tights and pointed boots. Her 18-year-old daughter Coco went brighter in a red House of CB dress, with a flattering ruffled bodice, and chunky black platform heels.

The pair both wore their hair in relaxed, loose waves and kept their make-up minimal, fresh and dewy.

This isn't the first time that Coco has been connected to her mum on the red carpet, as she's previously worn some of her mother's premiere dresses from the Nineties. She wore a purple lace dress – featuring a sheer overlay and velvet trim – which Cox first wore to the premiere of David Arquette's movie, Snake Eyes, 21 years earlier in 1998.

Cox shares her daughter with ex-husband Arquette, who she married in 1999 after they starred in the original Scream film together. The couple divorced in 2013 and Cox has never married again or had any more children. In 2013, she got engaged to singer Johnny McDaid after nine months together; they called things off two years later, and then reconciled in 2016.
