Blue Heaven is a Rocky Mountains juniper with fantastic colour. It bears scale-like, bright steel-blue needles lying flat to the branches. It is evergreen and does not tend to change its colour for winter or summer. Like most other junipers it has its typical scent, and unlike many other junipers this one is very pleasant to touch because it is not prickly.

Blue Heaven juniper grows slowly into a narrow cone, 2-3m tall. It produces small, pea-like fruit of silvery blue-grey colour.

Junipers will grow in almost any reasonably drained soil of any pH. Once established it needs no maintenance or watering. In fact it can take long periods of droughts and strong winds. Pruning, if necessary, can be made in early spring or late summer. Fully hardy to about -40°C (USDA zone 3).
