It didn’t take much time for them to realise the love brewing between them and the couple decided to take their friendship to the next level. Initially, both the families of Gijem and Madhu were against the idea, but finally, both got their parents’ approval and got engaged in 2019.

They wanted to get married in 2020 but due to Covid 19 restrictions, it was put on hold. This year, in July, they both got married in Turkey first. Now, they got married in a traditional Telugu Hindu ceremony, erasing all barriers such as caste, language, and region.
