The terrestrial brownbul is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Terrestrial brownbul Another newcomer to my garden, I only managed to capture this one shot then it was away again. These are very secretive birds but according to Sasol Birds, 'joins mixed species bird parties'. Can't say I have ever noticed any bird parties in my garden but I shall now be looking out for them! Its name in Afrikaans is 'Boskrapper' so maybe it is a bit of a party bird! Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland.
