Courteney Cox Says She Looked 'Really Strange with Injections,' Talks Turning 60

Courteney Cox is opening up about aging and getting closer to 60.

The 57-year-old Friends actress says that she still feels young, thanks to having a lot of younger friends.

“I feel like I’m young. I have a lot of friends in their 30s and I don’t think about it. To me we’re the same age until I actually study it,” she said in a new interview with The Sunday Times.

Courteney previously revealed in 2017 that she got her facial fillers dissolved and she began to embrace her real face.

In the new interview, Courteney said, “There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years. And I didn’t realize that, oh s***, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.”

Courteney said that when she realized people were talking about her face, she realized, “I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy.”

“I can obviously relate to being that age where you’re like, ‘Oh wow, I can’t believe I’m right here,’ and [asking] what makes you happy,” she said. “I understand that midlife stuff completely.”

Courteney talked about turning 60 in a few years.

“Oh God, it’s so hard to even hear or say. I can’t believe it,” she said. “There’s nothing wrong with being 60, I just can’t believe it. Time goes so fast. There’s no question that I am more grounded, I’ve learnt so much in my life — what to enjoy, what to try to do more of and what to let go of.”

In another interview, Courteney shared the funny way her daughter is preparing her to be an empty nester.
