MOC-120H Moisture Balance (0.001g)
Description
The MOC-120H Electronic Moisture Analyzer from Shimadzu (with an Unibloc weight sensor) is an easy, reliable moisture content measurement that uses an array of drying nodes for samples of various sizes and conditions. The drying status can be seen at-a-glance with the fluctuation range display.
It can be used in a variety of fields (cereals, starch, flour, noodles, brewed products, seafood, marine products, meat products, spices, sweets, dairy products, dried foods, vegetable oils, and other food articles, as well as pharmaceuticals, ores, cokes, glass materials, cement, chemical fertilizers; pulp, paper, cotton, various fabrics, and other industrial goods); enabling measurement of samples (cereals, foods, and chemical products) under various conditions (powder, particles, paste, and liquid).
Features:
- Large sample pan enables a large amount of sample to be placed evenly in a thin layer
- Mid-wave infrared quartz heater provides effective drying without interference for a wide range of samples
- Internal precision weighing balance is engineered with a Shimadzu UniBloc cell
- Digital control allows a selection of measurement modes
- 10 sets of measurement settings can be stored for quick recall
- Select one of the 9 combinations of drying and halting modes to optimize the measurement of the sample
- Auto-taring mechanism, which adjusts the zero drift automatically
- Bias correction function allows adjustment to the data obtained by other measuring methods or other testers
- Large backlit LCD is easily read even under poor lighting conditions
- Windows® Direct function allows measurement data to be easily sent to an application such as Excel®, connection requires a single RS-232C cable
Various Measuring Modes:
- Automatic ending mode: Automatically ends measurement when moisture loss over the previous 30 seconds becomes smaller than specified percentage
- Timed ending mode: Automatically ends measurement when the specified amount of time has elapsed
Drying Modes:
- Standard drying mode
- Rapid drying mode: First dries with the highest temperature for the specified period, then shifts to the specified temperature, thus shortening measurement time
- Slow drying mode: Mildly heats samples that may solidify on the surface or samples that reduce under high temperature
- Step drying mode: Allows changing drying conditions step by step. This feature is useful when measuring samples that contain a large amount of water (up to 5 steps)
- Predictive measuring mode: With preparatory measurements of the sample, the final result is predicted from the drying process. As a result, it saves a fair amount of time during repeated measurements
