Pyracantha "Soleil d'Or" Description ognjeni trn "Soleil d'Or" Description Medium-sized, bushy evergreen shrub (H 2-3 m, W 2-2,5 m). Branches upright to open, dense, thorny. Leaves ovate to narrowly egg-shaped (4-6 cm), smooth, slightly glossy, mid to dark green. Flowers in numerous, dense umbels, small, simple (0,5 cm), cream white, scented. Fruits very numerous, round (0,4 cm), fleshy, bright yellow. Ripening time: September-October, fruits persist on branches through the winter. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. An undemanding species, withstands urban conditions, heat, drought, cold and pruning.
  • These plants grow well in sun or in partial shade. Usually they tolerate more sun and heat if given enough moisture; in partial or light shade they need less moisture.

  • Decidious have woody stems (i. e. tree trunk and branches) and are also called woody plants or trees. Leaves are normally broad, soft and thin.

  • Leaves or needles remain on the plant for several consecutive years, usually 2 to 5 years. Our descriptions contain the word evergreen.

  • Plant can in otherwise appropriate environment survive cold down to - 23 °C.
