Parking CENTAR is a great parking spot in Mostar. It is €2 for one hour or €5 for the whole day. We liked that it had parking attendants to monitor the cars.

The Mostar Bridge is the most popular tourist attraction in Mostar. It is a 16th-century bridge that crosses the Neretva River.

People gather on the bridge to watch the professional bridge jumpers. Usually, after the jumpers have collected around €50 from tourists, they will make the 24-meter jump into the icy cold river.

It has been a tradition in Mostar for young men to jump from the bridge. After talking to our waiter in Mostar, he told us about his jump and how he broke his toe. He also told us that his father broke his arm doing the jump.

Tourists can make the jump if they get training from professional divers and pay a fee. In ten years, around 750 tourists have bravely jumped from Stari Most.

2. Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque

The mosque sits right on the bank of the Neretva River. It is a small mosque from the 17th century that has a minaret. For a fee, you can climb up the narrow stairs of the minaret to get views of the city and the river.

We got great views of the mosque from the terrace at Lagero.

3. Lagero (Bosnian cuisine)

For lunch, we highly recommend Lagero. It is situated in a perfect place to get views of the Mostar Bridge. In addition to the spectacular views, the food was outstanding, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We could see people enjoying lunch from other balconies and boat tours on the Neretva River.

We ordered a sharing platter that had various types of Bosnian cuisine. The platter had four types of meat, including cevapi and kebabs. The Bosnian food was delicious, and the views of Stari Most were impressive.

In addition to the delicious food, we also tried the Mostarsko Pivo and local wine.

4. Mostar Market (Old Bazaar)

After lunch, you can wander around the Mostar market (Old Bazaar) and see all the shops and souvenirs.

You will also notice gelato shops in the market, so grab a gelato and walk along the cobblestone streets taking in Mostar’s Old Bazaar.

5. Kriva Ćuprija (Crooked Bridge)

The Crooked Bridge was built several years before Stari Most. While wandering around the Old Town of Mostar, you will stumble upon this smaller version of Stari Most.

6. Bosnian Coffee

When you are in Mostar, you have to try Bosnian coffee. Bosnian coffee culture is something that you should not miss when visiting.

The coffee comes in a copper pot with a long handle. It also comes with a Turkish delight or Lokrum.

7. Sniper Tower

After leaving the Old Town, you can make your way to the northern part of the city to check out an abandoned building that once was a bank-turned sniper tower.

Mostar Travel Guide Sniper Tower

It was used during the Bosnian War as a sniper tower because it was one of the tallest buildings in the city.

Today graffiti artists use the building as their canvas.

There are signs around the building encouraging people to keep out because the structure is unstable.

8. Bruce Lee Statue

The Bruce Lee statue is in the park across from the Sniper Tower.

The statue of Bruce Lee was unveiled in 2005 to be a symbol of solidarity because many people in Mostar enjoyed Bruce Lee and martial arts.

9. Mount Hum

To see a breathtaking sunset, you can drive up to Mount Hum for spectacular sunset views of Mostar.

10.  Blagaj's Dervish Monastery

The monastery is only about a 15-minute drive from Mostar.

It is at the base of a cliff along the Buna River. You can tour the monastery for 5 euros and enjoy the views from the river.
