I didn't see a "comedy" forum, and I typically only communicate in the MTB forums, but I thought this would fly here:

I can't get enough of seeing these "what were you thinking" bike lockups. @kinny-pb posted this and got me started it so funny!

It's really weird, I've actually seen some of these in the Boston/Cambridge area!
So here's a few more that make me wonder how many people drink-n-bike...

This one's actually BRILLIANT! Confused

This one's not really a "fail", but it would be the only way I'd feel safe if I had to lock up my Stumpjumper...

I don't know why I put this one in here? Wouldn't YOU have?

Oh wait, I get it! This represents what it FEELS LIKE when I fork over the $$$ for a CARBON MTB!

Sincerely yours,

Most people just aint thinking anything when they lock or store there bike away,
though after its been nicked they tend to give it a bit more thought.

People just have to learn the hard way unfortunately.

I watched a couple pull in and park at Tesco with two Santa Cruz bikes on roof bars,
Fox 38s, easy 3k on the used sales market, they both got out and went into the shop,
I sat there eating my chicken wings next to my locked junker for the best part
of 20 mins, luck was on there side that day but it wont last if thats there habbit.

Yeah I've wondered why some folks leave expensive bikes on the RACKS of their vehicle while in the restaurant without locking the bikes to the racks. That's a good question.
