It was a weekend of gilded glamour for Jennifer Lopez. And while that may be a regular occurrence for her, a glowing legend, she went the extra mile for the 2023 Los Angeles County Museum of Art + Film gala. The 54-year-old wore a gold see-through dress (showing off toned abs and legs) complete with rib cutouts, a thigh-high slit, and matching high-waisted underwear.

On Instagram, Lopez shared official photos from the event, which aimed to raise funds for the museumā€™s various missions for the intersection of art and film, per Variety. The gala was presented by Gucci, so it only made sense that Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck were dressed in the label from head to toe. (Affleck wore a Gucci tuxedo, per InStyle.)

To accessorize her ethereal ensemble, Lopez wore a ruby red statement pendant necklace, drop earrings, and one cuff bracelet. She carried a champagne-colored clutch, her hair draped her shoulders in effortless waves, and her makeup was made complete by, of course, her favorite beauty picks from her very own J. Lo Beauty.

Fans were in awe of the lookā€™s angelic ambianceā€”it was so J. Lo. ā€œRed carpet royalty right here! You two just keep raising the bar šŸ”„šŸ˜,ā€ one person commented. ā€œShe gets it so right - every time šŸ”„šŸ™Œ,ā€ another added. ā€œThey look like Royalty ....WOW,ā€ someone else wrote.

The see-through ā€œnaked dressā€ trend is one that has graced red carpets aplenty this season, and Lopez herself wore it another time this year. In January, she promoted Shotgun Wedding, a rom-com in which she starred alongside Josh Duhamel, shining in a glittering nude ballgown that put her undergarments and an XL neon yellow waist-tied bow on display.

You may think the singer-actress spends hours in the gym, but she really prioritizes workouts for her mental health. Earlier this year, she told Us Weekly that she gets a sweat in ā€œfirst thing in the morningā€ despite her busy schedule.

ā€œI try to make good choices and balance my time,ā€ she added. ā€œItā€™s no secret that fitness is a very important part of my life ... I think thereā€™s a positive correlation between exercise and mental health. When you find a good balance through determination and focus, weā€™re naturally pushing to be the best version of ourselves.ā€

And that includes dressing up in the trademark metallic-neutral color palette she consistently masters. We donā€™t see herā€”or anyone, for that matterā€”tiring of it anytime soon, and we canā€™t wait to see how she makes it fresh with her next shimmering look. Because there will, most certainly, be another.
