BROTHER MFC-7820 TONER CARTRIDGE

A standard toner cartridge prints up to 2,500 pages at 5% coverage. Please note that the usage of the Toner Save feature increases the lifespan of the installed toner cartridge.
You should replace the installed toner cartridge when any of the listed messages or print quality issues appears.

[No Cartridge] – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed properly, and then test your Brother MFC-7820 Multifunction Center. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[Toner Life End] – The installed toner cartridge has been exhausted, or the print assembly (toner cartridge and drum unit) is installed incorrectly. You must make sure that the toner cartridge and the drum unit are installed correctly, and then test the machine. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[Toner Low] – The Brother MFC-7820 Multifunction Center has detected a low toner level, which means that the installed toner cartridge will have to be replaced soon. You must make sure that you have a replacement toner cartridge available.

Faint printouts – You should turn off the Toner Save feature, and then test the machine. The installed toner cartridge should be replaced if print quality remains unsatisfactory.

Gray background – You must make sure that the correct paper type is loaded into the input tray. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

Black or white vertical lines

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the front cover of your Brother MFC-7820 Multifunction Center, and then remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly by pulling it straight towards you. Please do not touch the electrodes inside the machine. Next, you must press the lock release lever, which is located on the left side of the assembly, and pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the drum unit. After that, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it 7-8 times horizontally to redistribute the toner. Now, you must remove the protective cover from the toner roller, and then insert the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks into place. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must slide the blue tab 5-6 times along the cleaning channel to clean the primary corona wire of the drum unit, and then return the blue tab to its original position. Finally, you must insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the Brother MFC-7820 Multifunction Center, and then close the front cover.
