This beautiful, large, columnar conifer is found along the coast of southeastern New Caledonia and is the dominant tree on the coral rock islands Îles Loyauté. The smooth, candelabra-like branchlets hold small, recurved, scale-like leaves. It is popular in cultivation and will adapt well to most tropical and many warm temperate climates.
