This beautiful, delicate, medium-sized conifer is critically endangered because of habitat loss. The entire known population on the southern tip of New Caledonia grows on only a few hectares and is threatened by encroachment and fires. Virtually unknown in cultivation but probably as adaptable as other Araucaria.
