Capstar® tablets are an oral flea medication for dogs as well as puppies 4 weeks of age and older. These oral tablets are approved by the FDA and work quickly to kill 90% of adult fleas within 4 hours on dogs. Capstar® tablets help treat flea infestations on pets, and may be given as often as once a day if pets become re-infested with fleas.
Each tablet contains the active ingredient nitenpyram, which kills adult fleas and begins working within 30 minutes. Capstar® tablets do not affect fleas in the pet's environment. More than one treatment may be necessary as immature fleas in and around the home develop into adults that can re-infest your pet. All pets in the household should be treated. Capstar® tablets are safe for use in pregnant and nursing dogs.
