The Vampire Diaries creator Julie Plec is looking to bring back every cast member that left the show for the season 8 "flash forward" finale, and yes, that means Nina Dobrev would be making a return, too.

Last year, fans were devastated to learn that Nina would be taking her final bow (eh, bite?) in the series. But people evolve, and after six years of working on the show, she was ready to move on and work on other things. "I know this is a new exciting step in the right direction for me, but it's going to be so strange not to be with them," Nina said at the time.

However, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Plec said that she's looking forward to bringing back every lost character from past seasons for the season 8 finale. “I will say that at some point over the course of this season, I would like to see everyone’s face that I can possibly see again, whether it be in the finale or in flashbacks or the characters who are still alive finding their way through Mystic Falls one last time," she said.

Everyone's face would have to include Nina, of course, but what that will mean for the on-screen plot lines and the off-screen heart lines... well, we'll just have to wait and find out when The Vampire Diaries returns on October 21.
