Michelle and Barack Obama’s stunning secluded waterfront house in the lush Martha’s Vineyard neighborhood is quite something to behold.
The expansive 6,892-square-foot property is located on nearly 30 acres of the affluent Massachusetts island.
The area is known for its popularity with vacationing celebrities and politicians - including President Bill Clinton and Jackie Kennedy.
But when the Obama’s bought their Martha's Vineyard home in 2019, it marked the first time a former president had purchased a home on the island.

The former president and first lady’s house features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a powder room, according to Realtor.com.
It also boasts an elegant master suite complete with a fireplace, as well as two guest wings, a two-car garage, a sun deck, a boathouse, and a pool.
Outside, the home has a screened porch, a garden, a stone patio, a pool with a hot tub and an outdoor shower.
The property also offers direct access to the Edgartown Great Pond and includes a private beachfront with deeded rights, as per a listing on LandVest.
The expansive property, which was designed by Taylor Lombardo Architects in San Francisco and built by John Early in 2001, sits on acres of well-kept lawns, with views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The family are believed to use the stunning Martha’s Vineyard property predominantly as a holiday home.
They have also been known to throw some lavish parties with some very exclusive guests in attendance - including Tom Hanks, Oprah, Steven Spielberg, and George Clooney.
In 2021, the couple planned to host a huge 60th birthday bash for the former president, but due to the Covid pandemic, they were forced to scale the almost 500-person guest list down to around 200 guests.

The outdoor party on August 7, 2021, was held in a huge tent set up on the grounds of the family’s waterfront retreat.
The star-studded guest list included Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Steven Spielberg, John Kerry and Gayle King.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were also in attendance, as the former apparently performed at the fête, along with H.E.R., Alicia Keys and Erykah Badu.
The Obamas’ $8 million Washington, DC mansion
As well as the impressive holiday home, the Obamas also own an $8.1 million home in the exclusive Kalorama neighbourhood, just five minutes away from The White House in Washington DC.
The family moved from the White House to the Kalorama home after Barack’s presidency ended in January 2017.
The somewhat simple interior pays homage to quintessential American decorating ideas – from white-wooden floors to upholstered chairs and rattan coffee tables.
As seen in the former first lady’s podcast, The Michelle Obama Podcast, the property’s front room also boasts a simple leather sofa and a flat-screen TV.
