Saucy Santana just dropped the song of the summer on Tuesday afternoon with a neon-hued music video to match.

The video for “Booty” accompanies the rapper’s latest single, which NPR named one of its favorite songs of 2022 so far. The visual shows the out queer rapper strutting around a neighborhood and shaking ass with his friends, including Them’s 2022 Now Awards Internet Creator winner Cristian Dennis, who catwalks down the sidewalk in a crop top and thigh-high boots. The video also features guest cameos from YouTuber Nikita Dragun and TikToker Julian Burzynski, as well as a fire verse from “Big Energy” rapper Latto. Like all the best summer music videos, there is plenty of food-themed innuendo, with hot dogs held in front of crotches, a giant peach cutout, and butt-shaped cookies made by Latto herself.

But the rapper made no announcement about their identity.

“Who else got a ass like this? Who else throw it back like this? What else make 'em mad like this? What else make 'em act like this?” Saucy Santana asks over the iconic horn riff from Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love,” which is itself a sample of the 1970 song “Are You My Woman? (Tell Me So)” by The Chi-Lites. That’s not the only tribute to Queen Bey, who also recently dropped the dance track “Break My Soul” just in time for summer. In the opening shots of “Booty,” Santana wears a white tank, jean shorts, and red pumps as a clear homage to Bey’s “Crazy” outfit.

Saucy Santana has been on the up and up lately. In June alone, covered Teen Vogue and collaborated with pop legend Madonna at New York City Pride to perform a mashup of their songs, both of which are named “Material Girl.”
