Have fun at the longest toboggan run in the country
If you are looking to hike or relax in the mountains, come and visit Donovaly. It has the longest toboggan run in all of Slovakia, and can be visited daily beginning 11 June. Donovaly is especially well-known as a winter ski resort, but it’s redesigned its attractions to let visitors have some fun during the summer months too. In 2008, a summer adrenali centre was built. The centre features a ropes park, an artificial climbing wall, trampolines and bungee trampolines, and a bouncy castle.
The biggest attraction is the toboggan run, which is one of only two runs in Slovakia. The run is located on the slope next to the cableway station and is almost 900 long. The thrilling ride on special trolleys includes 7 jumps and 11 sharp turns. The maximum speed that can be achieved in the fastest parts of the track is 45km/h. The ropes centre is situated in the forest that borders the main road leading through Donovaly. It is one of the longest and largest ropes centres in Slovakia.
